BI DEVELOPER Required in: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Purpose: Develop SQL queries to databases and returning these as crystal reports or PowerBI dashboards As a key influencer across the Lynch team this role will help implement and embed the company vision and behaviours across all that we do. This role is vital for ensuring our behaviours become real and are prioritised to enable our success: Reporting Lines: You will report into the Digital IT Director Focus areas of the role: The success of the role will be measured against the effective implementation of the following focus areas: You will work closely with business stakeholders to elicit and document requirements before proposing and developing solutions.You will be responsible for improving the BI capability for the company, building reports and tools primarily with PowerBI, SQL and Crystal Reports.This role will be varied, ranging from discussing requirements direct with our stakeholders, designing and building models, visualising on dashboards and presenting final product.There will be SQL work required to optimise current views and procs. Education & Qualifications/Experience Degree in computer scienceExpert knowledge of SQL Server 2012, SQL queries (views, stored procedures, triggers) and data schemasExperience in Crystal Reports 2011 preferredExcellent knowledge of SQL RDBMS, data warehousing and Business Intelligence toolsExperience with Power BI creating dashboards with DAX and Power QueryExperience with the full life cycle development cycle, including design, development, testing and documentationSupport the development of comprehensive performance and information management systems in line with internal and external customer requirementsPrevious experience in working with financial systems and financial reporting: knowledge of various systems and the ability to pick up new tools is important. Previous exposure to Syrinx / Access Dimensions/ Select Pay / Access AOI would be an advantage Why work for Lynch?
