Through its robust network and over 30 years of experience, CanAm has collectively raised over $3 billion in private placement funds.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Business Operations Associate will support cross-departmental business operations for CanAm’s three business platforms (EB-5, EB-5 redeployment, and private equity). CanAm’s investor process includes different phases (account onboarding, loan closing, repayment, redeployment, and investment termination) and the Associate will ensure that each phase is documented properly in CanAm’s file server and database. The Associate will be involved with special projects including an annual audit of CanAm’s investor data.This is an entry-level position with room for growth to focus on investor data analytics and internal communications based on work performance and aptitude.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:Main ResponsibilitiesThe associate will follow existing procedures to process documentation in a timely manner.The process includes investor data review & verification, data entry, uploading documentation, documentation creation, and frequent email communication (department staff, attorney, banks, investor, agent, etc.)Export data and create excel reports as requested by Management.Communicate frequently with department staff (in-person and remotely) on investor documentation status and answer general inquires.Resolve minor processing problems, make suggestions for process improvements, and seek assistance from supervisor for issues beyond immediate expertise.Work with other members of the Business Operations team on administrative tasks as needed.Core CompetencesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should possess the following competencies:Excellent and meticulous data entry skills.Process-driven to complete assignments in the appropriate order.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to keep the information confidential.Ability to work independently and track the status of the workflow.Good judgment and idea-generating to provide improvement to internal procedures.Education and Experience Minimum Education: Associates DegreeTwo to three years of full-time work experience performing data entry tasks.Computer Skills Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or general database experience preferred.Experience with DocuSign is a plus.Expectation for All EmployeesSupport CanAm’ core principles: high level of integrity and ethics, maintain positive and respectful interactions within the firm and the public; personal accountability, and attention to detail.Start Date: January 2022Compensation: Annual salary range of $40-$45,000 commensurate with experience and education.
