Job Duties/Essential FunctionsExperience, Skills, Education &Licenses/CertificationsRecommended Skills, Abilities, and CertificationsTo ApplyAssists pharmacist to fill, dispense prescriptions for customers. Assists customers at counter, retrieves prescriptions, ringsup customers. Orders and stocks drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise. Updates patient records andinventory, processes invoices, and makes accounting entries using computerized system.Assists customer at counter, receives written prescriptions for pharmacist, retrieves filled prescriptions. Rings up orders.Receives payment, makes change, processes checks, credit and debit charges. Provides prompt and courteous customerservice. Answers phones, directs members to product location.Assists Pharmacist in updating patient profile and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer to extentallowable by State law. Preserves patient confidentiality.Assists Pharmacist in filling prescriptions by bringing stock bottles, counting, pouring, restocking, labeling, and pricingprescriptions under direct pharmacist’s supervision to the extent allowable by State law. Follows safety and securityprocedures.Prepares third-party insurance claims, processes invoices, and makes accounting entries using computerized system.Orders, receives, tags, and stocks prescription drugs and supplies. Follows product storage procedures and standards.Orders, receives, tags, and stocks over-the-counter product in accordance with merchandising plan for department.Creates product signs.Cleans department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, and dusting. Empties trash, operates trash compactor andcardboard baler.Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary as directed by management.Education/Training: High School or GED preferred.
