Morson are exclusively recruiting for experienced Machinists. The contract is initially for 6 months, followed by the option of a long-term contract.
Please see details below outlining the two shifts which are currently being recruited for. Please note eligible candidates must be able to produce proof of apprenticeship certification or level 2/3 City and Guilds/ NVQ level 3). Overseas, UK equivalent apprenticeship paperwork are also acceptable. NIGHT SHIFT Working a 16 week rotation .
First 16 weeks – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Nights 3 x 12 hour shifts 18.45pm to 6.30am) .
Second shift Weds Thursday Friday Nights )
Must also be available to work additional shift – every other Saturday night Rates: 29.96 per hour DAY SHIFT Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: Thursday, Friday – the hours are 7.00am to 6.45pm
Rate: £27.15 per hour Overtime also avaialble at a premium Role specification:
To operate as a multi-skilled, flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and worked through the use of:
Machining of parts aircraft parts to drawing specification
Checking of parts using conventional equipment including height gauges
Micrometers, vernier, calipers to meet required specification
Working to engineering drawings
Manufacturing to defined high tolerances
Manually or mechanically move components to ensure the effective flow of production within the cell
Deburring for onward safe handling only
