Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why you’ll love this jobAs an intern for the Corporate Controller organization, you will be assisting in the number of areas within Corporate Accounting, Accounts Payable, Cargo Accounting, and Financial ReportingWhat you’ll doTest and document results for system modification or enhancementsAssist in the development and documentation of processes and policiesAssist in the development and implementation of initiatives around process improvement and data cleansingAssist in a quality assurance capacity for data and processesAssist with the review of accounting/financial statement schedules for accuracy and consistencyAssist with the preparation or review of journal entriesAssist with general ledger account reconciliations or supplier account reconciliationsPerform other general office and administrative tasks as requiredAll you’ll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceThis internship is open to all full-time college students currently pursuing a BA/BS or Masters, in one or more of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Supply Chain ManagementUnderstanding of SOX complianceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood working knowledge of PC software, such as ExcelDatabase skills such as DWH, Cubes, Access or SQL a plusExperience with functional testing and creation of test cases a plusSelf-motivated, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlinesAnalytical ability along with the ability to work individually and as a member of a teamGPA 3.2/4.0PLEASE NOTE: This internship is year-round and not necessarily limited to the summer monthsWhat you’ll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
