We have developed new and innovative solid state battery technology which promises to advance the current state of battery performance for a wide range of applications including the growing e-mobility market.Chief Technology Officer Job SummaryThe Chief Technology Officer (CTO) leads the company’s battery technology vision and manages all technological resources. The CTO will establish company technology vision, strategy, and plans for growth. The CTO will focus on maintaining, improving and resolving all technological issues in the company. The CTO will work closely with the senior technology staff, and will also interface with external parties such as customers and large development partners.Chief Technology Officer Duties and Responsibilities· Setting company technical vision and leading the company’s solid-state battery technology development· Leading the research and development team in charge of technology development· Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical plans and resources· Engaging in innovating new technology ideas and reducing to practice through implementation of laboratory testing using state of the art protocols· Collaborating with business department heads, marketing, production, and operations as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company· Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met· Managing and mentoring team members on the research and development team· Reviewing and managing development timeframes and budgets· Sharing technological vision, opportunities, and risks company-wide as appropriate, as well as with senior management and the board· Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and battery industry developments· Representing the company at conferences and networking events· Ensuring the company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulationsChief Technology Officer Requirements and Qualifications· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently· Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, and other senior management throughout the company· Able to be a “big picture” thinker while at the same time managing tactical details· Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills· Able to encourage the team and staff; able to mentor and lead effectively· Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Able to align multiple strategies and ideas· Confident in producing and presenting work· In-depth understanding of the industry· PhD from top technical program; electrochemical, chemistry, or EE· Eight to ten years’ progressive experience in energy storage (preferably in solid-stage battery technology), with 5+ years in executive management or senior leadership role· Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/goals· Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)· Excellent analytical and time-management skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: $190,000.00 – $250,000.00 per yearExperience:Battery Engineering: 10 years (Required)Senior Management: 5 years (Required)Education:Doctorate (Required)Work authorization:United States (Required)Required travel:25% (Required)Additional Compensation:BonusesWork Location:Multiple locationsBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceRetirement planPaid time offFlexible scheduleProfessional development assistanceSchedule:Monday to FridayShow more
