For more than 45 years, we have served New York state, Western VT, and MA industries through our daily, seamless line-haul system and local pickup and delivery service, carrying shipments to/from airline and ocean freight stations.If you’re interested in being a part of it, let’s explore the opportunities.Position Summary: Primarily responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external Mobile Air Transport customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company services and programs.Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Provide rate quotes to Customers according to established Company policy.Enter customer orders/changes as well as inbound alerts and pickup requests according to established department policies and procedures.Answering all emailed and EDI pickups received and dispatch to stations with verifications.Provide timely and accurate information to customer inquiries and shipment tracking requests.Must effectively address customer issues and ensure resolution.Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.Arranging payments via Credit Card or Check for customers that do not have credit with Mobile Air Transport.Other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or high school equivalency diploma1 – 3 years Customer service experience in a general freight transportation environmentSuperior time management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong team playerCommitment to company valuesProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelKnowledge of geographic service areaKnowledge of DOT, FMCSR, TSA, OSHA and HAZMAT regulationsPhysical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
