STR00096 – North WalesJob DescriptionJob Title: SupervisorLocation: FieldDepartment: Store OperationsShift: Overnights****Associates in this position will receive a $1.50 shift differential for hours worked between 12am-6am.Job Summary: The Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of the store when a more senior level manager is not present. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient productivity, quality execution and will make appropriate recommendations to the store management team regarding any store concern or opportunity. Where applicable, this position will assist the management team with managing the fuel offer.Principal Duties: Ensure exceptional customer service is being delivered. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and solicit customer feedback and input.Facilitate flawless execution of flow between the associate, the customer, and their orders, ensuring overall food service and beverage effectiveness.Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and standards. Demonstrate knowledge of and follow Wawa’s Crisis Management procedures when necessary.Provide direction, motivation, and coaching for associates during the shift.Prepare and maintain stock levels for all appropriate food service items by day part.Communicate opportunities for growth within food service and beverage area to the Food and Beverage Manager.Recognize associates and celebrate accomplishments.Enforce Wawa’s cash handling and accountability processes and perform manager functions on register.Administer check-in of external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.Exhibit a working knowledge of store equipment and ensure facility and store conditions meet established standards.Essential Functions: Ability to work well individually as well as in a team environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work with little or no supervisionDetail oriented and excellent organizational skillsAbility to defuse issues using de-escalation and problem solving techniquesProven self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisionsExcellent relationship building and leadership skillsMust be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally and grasping firmlyMust be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushingMust be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbsAbility to learn and utilize the store’s technologyMust have reliable transportationMust be at least 18 years old to be considered for this roleAbility to direct others and prioritize tasksBasic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalentAbility to work 35 – 40 hours per weekFlexible availability which may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needsExperience leading, developing and selecting teams preferredExperience training, sales building, management of expenses, and food service menu planningExperience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in executionLeadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferredExperienced in all areas of store operations, including foodserviceProven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following:Exceptional Customer ServiceRelationship BuildingEffective CommunicationWawa will provide reasonable accommodation to complete an application upon request, consistent with applicable law.
