Heart of America Beverage is seeking energetic candidates to join our delivery team as a local delivery driver in Springfield. If you enjoy a fast paced and dynamic environment, this job may be for you. The most fun part? We sell beer for a living! Our culture is made up of people who are passionate about beer and passionate about fun. We work hard and we have a lot of laughs along the way. This position works four days per week and is home every night. The delivery routes typically have a driver helper assisting daily. The total starting compensation for delivery driver is $45,000 to $50,000 with salary, commission and bonus structure. There also is an additional summer time bonus initiative possible.Primary Responsibilities of Delivery Driver:Pre-trip and Post-trip DOT required inspectionMaintaining required DOT time logsSafe handling of company truck in many territories in Southwest MissouriBringing product into assigned accounts with a two wheeled dollyProviding courteous customer serviceStock rotation, shelf replenishment , and display buildingCurrent and past due bill collectingVerify correctness of order coming into accountCommunicate with Salesman and Driver Supervisor all issues regarding your equipment or routeKeep the equipment, tractor and trailer, cleanFollow correct check in procedures at the end of the routeOther duties may be assigned as necessaryQualifications for the Delivery DriverDrivers for Heart of America Beverage are required to have a Class A Commercial Drivers LicenseDrivers must be able to pass a DOT physical, pass a DOT Drug test, a motor vehicle records check, and a previous employment DOT records check. Potential drivers are now also subject to a CSA background check to be eligibleThere are many physical qualifications that a driver must meet, these include: lifting up to 165 pounds, bending, standing for several hours at a time, tolerate going back and forth from hot to cold temperaturesMust be 21 year of age or older.
