We currently have an opportunity for a Manager at our Stornoway Depot working 40 hours per week. The purpose of this role is to direct & control the requirements for the Terminal and Distribution Operations, effectively optimising supply, product availability & driver productivity whilst adhering to HSE, Legal and Group requirements.  Health and Safety is a key responsibility within this role along with operational, staffing and financial management duties. Duties include but are not limited to: Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures regarding terminal operations, process safety & driving on Company business.Ensuring that staff are provided with the appropriate information concerning hazards, risks and preventative measures (including the appropriate training) to enable them to carry out tasks safelyPlan shipping and product requirement on rolling three months maximizing cargo and tank capacities to ensure no stock outages. Consideration to sales and operational plans/constraints. Manage relationships with customers ensuring the highest standards of serviceEnsure customer orders are received, processed and delivered professionallyPrinciple contact for local stakeholders and management ofCoordinate terminal audits and external agency visits i.e. VOSA, FTA, HSE & EAAdminister operating costs / budget frameworks and monitor / report the performance of all operations (terminal & transport) against the budget established and key performance indicatorsDay to day management of drivers and driver issues as well as performance via set KPI’s We’re looking for: All Knowledge of / previous work within the fuel distribution industry is desirableKnowledge of EU driving hours / WTD is a necessityGood organisation skills and ability to prioritiseExcellent communication skillsHigh degree of self-motivationResilient, persistent and tenaciousHSE qualifications are an advantageAbility to manage change effectively is essentialExperience of conducting appraisals / performance management is desirableMCA Level 4 would be advantageousADR (desirable) Company Information Certas Energy is the leading independent distributor of fuels and lubricants in the UK.
