Trinity Air Medical (TAM) is a 24/7 operation that provides a critical service to the organ donation and transplantation community. The role of the Transportation Manager is critical in ensuring the organization’s ability to carry out its mission in service to Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO’s) and Transplant Centers. The role of Transportation Manager at Trinity Air Medical (TAM) is responsible for ensuring the day to day operations for internal TAM drivers as well as our third party providers are maintained and provides exceptional customer service.I. Essential FunctionsA. The Transportation Manager is responsible for the day to day management for the ground operations for Arizona and third party partners throughout the United States.B. Responsible for scheduling and ensuring adequate staffing of all internal drivers, Arizona and California, to meet the business needs of TAM.C. Responsible for all fleet duties of Trinity owned assets, such as scheduled and routine maintenance of all vehicles.D. The Transportation Manager will be required to complete job functions of a TAM driver, including medical team pick up, organ pick up/drop off, medical specimen or equipment runs, and other assigned driving duties occasionally.E. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of all internal Trinity drivers.F. Responsible for evaluating performance of driver team through observation and customer feedback.G. Responsible for managing relationships and service of third party providers and ensuring Trinity policies and procedures are followed.H. Demonstrates an ability to manage and motivate driver workforce.I. Assists with the onboarding and training process for any new customers that require ground transportation services (dedicated Trinity drivers or third party partners).J. Participates in weekly operations meetings to collaborate with operations and business development teams.K. Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively by phone and email to both internal and external parties to ensure requests are completed accurately and with a high level of service.L. Vet ground transportation partners in new areas of company growth following Trinity vetting process.M. Collaborate with operations team to devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.N. Create and modify policies and work instructions to provide clear expectations for the staff.O. Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations for operations department.P. Demonstrates an ability to make effective decisions.Q. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to critically problem solve.R. Adheres to all internal TAM documentation requirements, policies, and procedures to provide a high level of service for our customers.S. Participates in ongoing training and development.T. Must develop a basic understanding of OPO and transplant center language as well as aviation and ground language.U. Regular attendance at departmental meetings is required.V. Represents TAM brand in a positive manner in all external communications and represents company core values at all times.W. Contribute to the success and performance of the team and organization by achieving key performance metrics.X. Proficient in computer software programs including Microsoft and data entry.Y. Perform other duties as assigned.II. QualificationsA. Education/Experience1. Minimum 2-4 years experience in related fields:a. Logistics, Aviation, Transportation, Healthcare Management, Fire/EMS2. 4 year college degree (or equivelant experience)3. Previous supervisory or mangement experienceB. Skills/Aptitudes1. Knowledge of TAM policies and procedures.2. Knowledge of medical terminology related to donation and transplantation.3. Must be able to apply learned knowledge to the job.4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.5. Must display integrity, initiative, perseverance, flexibility, team work, empathy, and persuasiveness.6. Must be able to critically think through all aspects of the process and make decisions in the best interests of both TAM as well as our partners.7. Must be very organized and able to coordinate projects.8. Must have excellent administrative skills such as completing paper work, reports, and other projects in a timely manner.9. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Arizona driver’s license.10. Must be able to communicate effectively with all members of medical teams.C. Physical and Mental Requirements1. Must have command of the English language and be able to speak clearly to convey information to business contacts and other TAM employees over the phone and in person.2. Requires ability to work under stress with numerous interruptions, distractions and changing priorities.3. Must be proficient and safe driver with a clean Arizona driving record and license.4. Must be be able to lift 50lbs.5.
