The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation.General PurposeThe Facility Support candidate will oversee all CCF and CCF associate building-related activities and will be responsible for preserving the condition of the infrastructure and ensuring that the facility is safe, well-functioning and aesthetically maintained.Main Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesManage the upkeep of building equipment and supplies to meet all health and safety standards.Inspect building’s structures to determine the need for repairs, renovations, and updates.Manage and maintain the building’s security and alarm system, recommending updates as needed.Plan and coordinate all installations (IT/telecommunications, heating and cooling, electricity, alarms, etc.) and refurbishments.Review and monitor utility related structures and strive to minimize cost and reach maximum efficiencies.Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, etc.) and external contractors.Meet and negotiate with contractors to strive for quality and efficiency for all repairs, updates, construction, etc.Monitor and manage functional and external activities such as parking structure, parking space allocations, waste disposal, building security, etc.Manage office layout and updates to layout according to needs or changes.Manage insurance plans and contracts, including financial and non-financial records pertaining to building and building maintenance.Provide guidance and perform analysis and forecast of building needs.Work off-site in all afore-mentioned capacities on CCF associate buildings and structures.Walk the perimeter of the facility daily and dispose of all trash.Stock the cantina daily and facilitate the ordering of items.Maintain all equipment in the cantina.Replenish water, coffee, utensils, etc. in each kitchen daily.Key CompetenciesWell-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and leadership skills.Good analytical/critical thinking.Must be able to work outside in conditions including construction sites with ability to lift heavy objects.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in facility management or engineering required.5+ years proven experience in facilities management or relevant position.3+ years in facilities project management.Strong organizational and project management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Must be able to work overtime (nights and weekends) as needed.Fluency in Arabic and/or Chaldean preferred, but not required.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $1.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Sterling Heights, MI 48310: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)Language:Arabic/Chaldean (Required)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: One locationShow more
