Finance supervisor position avaliable- Supervising and mentoring a small finance team- responsible for covering transactional finance, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and payroll. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller. Client Details Our client is a nationwide company with over 25 years experience in their industry. They have been providing households and businesses across the UK with tailored moving services. Description Supervising and mentoring a small finance team, covering transactional finance, sales ledger and purchase ledger.Weekly and monthly payroll processing.Daily bank and other balance sheet reconciliations.Processing petty cash and credit card transactions on a timely basis and ensuring all relevant information is received in order to facilitate this.Processing of ad-hoc payments.General ledger journals.Accounting for inter-company transactions and ensuring inter-company balances agree at all times.Accounting for capital expenditure.Responsible for ensuring company credit cards are administered correctly.Dealing appropriately with queries from customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.Assisting the Group Financial Controller with any other tasks as required. Profile A hands-on person, comfortable in supervising a small team, and equally keen to ‘roll your sleeves up’.Diligent, methodical, numerate and have a keen interest in business.A keen eye for efficiencies and improvement, and an ambassador for change.An ability to build relationships with people at all levels throughout the business and display resilience in challenging situations.Experience of payroll processing.Confidence in working with computers, Microsoft Office proficiency (particularly Excel and Word), and willingness to learn new skills.Effectively interacts with full range of Managers and Directors to provide proactive and reactive support and therefore must have considerable presence / gravitas.You should be able to demonstrate that you are punctual, organised and can work to tight deadlines. Desired but not essential- Previous experience managing / supervising a finance team.Experience of Sage Payroll and Sage 50 Accounts is desirable.Membership of a professional accounting body such as AAT would be looked upon favourably.A full UK clean driving licence and access to your own transport would be an advantage.
