Medical DirectorPARAMEDIC POSITION SUMMARY : To provide professional care and transport of the sick and injured to hospital or other health facility in emergency and non-emergency situations. May perform a variety of basic and advanced life support skills in the pre-hospital and hospital setting.PARAMEDIC QUALIFICATIONS :High school graduate or equivalent.Certified or licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Paramedic.Must be over 18 and possess a Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.Two years of experience in an EMS position preferred.ACLS and PALS or alternatives are preferred (required and provided upon hire)PARAMEDIC JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/RESPONSIBILITIESPerform according to protocols and Medical Director’s Authorization to PracticeRoutinely have a positive interaction with. Other Healthcare Providers. Other Public Safety Professionals. The general publicPerforms daily vehicle checks and ensures that the ambulance assigned to is response ready at all times.Completes all appropriate records including but not limited to: Patient care reports either electronic or paper, Daily ambulance check sheet, Ongoing quality assurance indicators, Accident/Incident reportsAssist other hospital departments when requested for; Obtaining IV/IO access, Inbutations, Other emergent care as requestedTypical Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentRequires corrected vision and hearing to a normal range. Position requires ability to communicate with patients, other healthcare providers, and other public safety professionals. Exposure to all elements of weather.Entry level base pay- $49,500.00 for EMT-P ($52,880 for LP) plus paid con ed, available overtime and generous hospital employee benefits package (experience pay for verifiable experience up to 15 years).
