DecisionPoint Corp is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Administrator to join our corporate team, supporting the team members of our mission-driven organization through the administration and compliance of our payroll, benefits, and time & attendance systems and processes. This position plays a key role in overseeing, managing, and administering our employees’ compensation, rewards, and benefits. The HR & Payroll Administrator will have an opportunity to optimize a variety of platforms to include HRIS, timekeeping, and accounting while being able to add value in terms of making recommendations to leadership.Duties & ResponsibilitiesHRPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave mattersHandles some employee benefit related information; paid time off balance reports; and 401K contribution updates; payroll deduction payments to carriersAssists with regulatory compliance and reporting.Maintain SharePoint repository of HR and or related dataPAYROLLProcesses employee data related to the following: new hires, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.Processes Electronic Timesheets; ensures accuracy of employee timekeeping recordsCritically reviews and audits payrolls, including gross pay, hours worked, vacation accruals, tax deductions, benefits deduction, garnishments (if any) etc., and makes necessary corrections prior to final payroll approval and transmission.Manages and ensures weekly and semi-monthly disbursement of payroll in accordance with federal, state and local wage and hour laws.Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.New Hire reporting for all states.New State registrations, local tax codes, account management (reporting, deactivations, state reciprocity and rate collection).Provides advice to management with regards to Payroll issuesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field; four to six (4-6) years of payroll experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in multi-state and multi-entity environmentsGovernment contract understanding/experience. SCA requirements experience (Certified Payroll).Knowledge of the accounting practices involved in verifying, preparing and processing of payrollsKnowledge of the Department of Labor Guidelines and Federal Regulations involving payrollMust have worked in a government contracting/project management businessClear written and verbal communications; excellent attention to detailWorking knowledge of Unanet or another similar Accounting System such as Costpoint, and Electronic TimesheetMS Office skills including Word, Excel, and OutlookOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
