In today’s society, to have a job, do it well, and reap the benefits is one of the most important ways a person can live with dignity.With a mission of create jobs locally, prepare people to succeed at work, and help them overcome barriers to employment, our client has been serving the people in the city of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Culpeper, Westmoreland, Orange, Caroline, King George, Louisa, Richmond, Northumberland, Rappahannock, and Essex, for over 50 years.Our client has an open door for all who need their help – persons with disabilities, veterans, ex-offenders, and anyone who has had difficulty in finding and keeping a job.Human Resources Administrator As the Human Resources Administrator, you will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the organization’s human resources department.Responsibilities: Manages the onboarding process; conducts or assists with new hire orientation.Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.Answers common and frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to benefits, standard policies, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.Oversees/handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.Performs periodic audits of HR files and records, ensuring all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.Collaborates with Insperity PEO in leave administration.Ensure all time and attendance hours, PTO tracking, and adjustments are entered and approved prior to submitting the time file.Reviews ITA file for accuracy and ensures all employee changes and updates are made and discussed with the Payroll Specialist prior to submitting payroll.Assists with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions.Acts as a liaison between the organization and Insperity PEO Benefit Representative. In conjunction with Insperity team, manages the process of benefits enrollment for employees throughout the year.Assists with planning and execution of special events such as annual benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.Provides clerical support to the HR department.Creates and maintains an HR calendar.Performs other related duties, as assigned.Qualifications: Associate degree in related field required or equivalent work experience.Prior related office experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficient with, or able to quickly learn, payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), or similar applications.Benefits: Our client values their employees’ time and efforts.
