Reduced capacities, social distancing and mask mandates will continue to be enforced at all events until further notice.We are seeking a part-time Kitchen Equipment Helper to join our team. This position will perform preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor repairs, and modifications to the commercial cooking, refrigeration and cookware washing equipment to ensure proper operation.Responsibilities:Assists Kitchen Equipment Mechanic in all repairs and preventive maintenance tasksPerforms daily scheduled maintenance, documents and completes all preventive maintenance on all portable and fixed kitchen equipment working conditionsAssist with preventative, reactive and predictive maintenance schedules on all kitchen and concession stand equipmentAssist with diagnostic skills on operation, maintenance, and repair of all kitchen and concession stand equipmentAssists with inspections of kitchen equipment and related system components according to facility and manufacturers recommendationsWorks efficiently and effectively between Center Operating Co. and Levy Restaurant employees and management to minimize down time, reduce operational expenses and to ensure the success of all eventsAssists with work performed by outside contractors, inspects and verifies the work upon completionAssists Maintenance and HVAC staff when necessaryPerforms other duties as requiredEducation / Qualifications:High School diploma or GED and 1 year of experience with commercial refrigeration and commercial cooking equipment or any equivalent combination of education and experience is preferredEPA certification preferred on hire and required with 90 days of employmentWork experience in an arena, hotel or restaurant environment is preferredDemonstrated ability to read blue prints, drawings, specifications and schematicsMust have knowledge of the tools and equipment necessary to perform repairs on concession/kitchen equipmentKnowledge of principles, practices and techniques of gas and refrigerant tradePhysical Demands / Work EnvironmentMust adhere to all company COVID-19 building protocols (mask mandate, social distancing, hand washing, etc.)Ability to reach with hands and arms use hands to handle, or feel, stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, walk and sitAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while twisting and/or turning working at heights, and in close spaces, and frequent climbing of stairs and laddersSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusAble to work in confined spacesRequires extensive mobility to walk and to stand for up to 7 hours without a set breakRequires extensive mobility to walk up and down aisles and stairs for up to 7 hoursRequires the above physical demands to be performed for the entire duration of each 7 hour shiftThe noise level in the work environment is moderate, however, during events the noise level may be loudRequired to work near moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and risk of electrical shockMust be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and all shifts as requiredAMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT – JOB ACCOMMODATION REQUESTSAny individual who requests a job accommodation due to a physical or mental impairment will require a dialogue with Human Resources to determine if the individual can perform the essential duties of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
