This job is a member of the Credit Union Team within the American Airlines Credit Union.
Responsible for reviewing home equity loan requests and assisting American Airlines Credit Union members with closing their loan.
What you’ll do
Handles file set-up for home equity loans which includes providing appropriate disclosures to members, speaking with members about their loan terms, and reviewing the loan for closing
Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act
Performs daily review on the Home Equity pipeline
Processes Closing Docs for home equity loans
Processes Property Condition Reports for Home Equity Loans
Processes Verification of Employment for Home Equity Loan applicants
Performs booking of home equity loans
Inputs home equity loan data into daily Excel spreadsheets
Performs other duties as assigned
All you’ll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
High school diploma or GED
2 years of related experience, preferably in a credit union environment
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Experience in mortgage lending
Previous customer service experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
Knowledge of Loan Link and Episys System
Ability to exercise excellent member and customer service skills
Skilled in above average interpersonal and communication skills and professional telephone manners
Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team in a diverse environment
Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members
Ability to learn quickly and adapt well to change
Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus
Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
