Job Summary : The Organizational Design and WFP Specialist will lead the development and build of Wawa’s organizational design, workforce planning, skills mapping and career pathing initiatives, processes and capabilities in order to achieve our human capital strategy goals. In partnership with PT Business Partners, this position serves as a trusted strategic partner, delivering leading edge advisory services related to alignment of resources, roles and responsibilities that add value to successfully support Wawa’s business strategy. They are responsible for ensuring we continually have the right business models, operating models and organizational models (soft and hard structures) to build the right organizational capabilities, at the right cost, needed to propel the growth strategies of the business.
Build the organizational design framework and processes, fostering the development of organizational capabilities and structures needed to support the execution of the business strategy.
Lead larger-scale organizational design initiatives in partnership with PT Business Partners.
Consult with PT Business Partners and senior management on a variety of organization effectiveness issues for both current state and future growth and development. Support PT Business Partners in organizational changes, providing process support and tools that facilitate a proactive development of organizational capabilities.
Utilize organization design tools and methods that are practical and business focused as well as bring to the table new designs, tools, and methods that will help position the organization for growth.
Build mechanisms to assess and monitor the success of organizational models. Design feedback loops to incorporate organizational member’s feedback into organization’s continuous improvements.
Leveraging deep organizational design expertise, provide consultative services in all matters related to organizational design and team dynamics.
Direct the development and implementation of a strategic workforce plan aligned to meet the needs of the business and the strategic intent of the organization. Monitor business progress and headcount against the execution of workforce plans and ensure plans are aligned with corporate goals, values and competencies.
Create current and multi-year hiring and retention forecasts to enable the business to facilitate long term workforce planning.
Develop and partner with the People Team Partners to oversee the corporate headcount approval process for all replacements and additions. Oversee corporate position management and organization structure within core HRIS.
Develop the functional and leadership skills/competencies required for all jobs and build developmental/promotional opportunities within job families and functional areas.
Use knowledge of objectives, strategies and needs to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to achieve desired results. Utilize human capital management reports and provide analysis to PT Business Partners and Senior Leadership as appropriate.
Oversee the processes for job creation and job evaluation.
Maintain current knowledge of environmental, legal and regulatory factors that impact workforce planning and organizational design practices.
Design and develop a career path strategy, methodologies and tools to enable talent mobility.
Design and develop organizational workforce planning strategies, methodologies and tools. Drive the cross-functional partnering and collaborating with all levels of management across the Company with the People Team Partner, in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of workforce plans including analytics and tactical workforce planning to assess internal and external needs and position skills across the organization.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, industrial psychology, human resources, or related field preferred.
Related professional certifications preferred
5+ years’ experience in organizational design and redesign, and team dynamics (virtual and face to face).
Strong technical knowledge in areas of organization design
Must be proactive, self-motivated, and problem-solving; and must possess an impeccable attention to detail
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
