The AWS Executive Communications Leader is an integral part of the Public Sector Partner & Programs team and is in key position to help grow our cloud computing business and make an impact in an exciting, growing market. You will work cross-functionally with AWS technology teams and partners around the world to support and accelerate technology growth of the AWS Public Sector partner community. This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in the incredibly fast-growing AWS Public Sector team.The ideal candidate is experienced as a marketing and communications executive with a technology background. This leader will focus on building internal and external communications strategy and executing on deliverables in a fast paced technology environment, often with competing priorities. You must have the ability and initiative to understand critical business needs, navigate highly ambiguous scenarios, understand cloud and future technologies, be able to analyze opportunities, and collaborate with technical stakeholders to support the development of communications. Manages the lifecycle of complex cross-functional technology communications.Core Roles & Responsibilities· Develop and mature different programs and or mechanisms for communicating customer and partner needs, cloud technology advancements and the intersections with public sector missions.· Develop data-driven narrative technical proposals for new initiatives, new technologies and translate into business needs that result in offerings and communications materials.· Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales and partner teams, and AWS HQ teams around the world using different communications mediums and platforms.· Land, coordinate and execute a technology focused communications programs through cross-functional engagement.· Work with technical subject matter experts, development partners, and other stakeholders to develop internal and external content that meets audience and program requirements in creative and engaging ways.· Create technology focused communications content that drives engagement with our AWS employees and partners.· Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications through digital analytics, surveys, and other key performance indicators.Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. Amazons culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.Basic Qualifications· 15+ years of demonstrated experience in executive marketing and/or communications, inclusive of global experience and technology focused· Demonstrated writing and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to cross functional audiences and develop written material for external stakeholders· Bachelors degree or equivalentPreferred Qualifications· Demonstrated experience in public sector· Demonstrated experience in cloud computing technology· Demonstrated ability to navigate highly ambiguous scenarios with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders· Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high pressure environment· Demonstrated organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment· Demonstrated experience providing creative practical solutions to problems· Demonstrated experience of partner/channel relationships and sales strategies· Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity· Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this roleAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
