As a Parts Advisor, you will provide critical parts support to the service center; liaise with other departments, as well as focusing on the continuous development of your skills. ResponsibilitiesSource parts from distribution centers and other service center locations and allocate them to vehicle service appointmentsReview upcoming appointments and ensure they are properly prepared and documented in our systemPrepare internal orders for shipment to other service center locationsProcess and return warranty part shipments for quality assurance including handling hazardous materials and high-voltage batteriesSystematically receive, inspect, and put away stock and special-order partsConsistently manage inventory by performing daily perpetual parts counts, reporting discrepancies, and managing automated inventory replenishment listEnsure excellent organization of stock room to Tesla standard with grocery store aestheticsCollaborate across organizations and communicate parts updates and availabilityEscalate any parts issues from internal or external suppliers in collaboration with Regional Parts Manager, providing constructive feedback that will contribute to future improvementsEnsure the team is well organized and oversee daily planning to maximize efficiency; enforcing processing, proactive planning and quality standardsMaintains holistic view of all service processes and procedures and contributes to regular improvements when possibleOnboard and train new associates to the team in parts department systems and processes to maintain parts standardPick up and transport parts using van or forklift, engaging 3rd parties when necessaryAdditional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs

Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or certificate preferredProven work experience as a Parts Advisor within a fast-paced automotive organizationPossession of a forklift certificate is highly desirable
Physical RequirementsAbility to perform repetitious duties including: regularly lift up to 25 lbs., sit, bend and stand for long periods of timeMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., climb or balance, kneel or crouch, and reach to retrieve parts.Specific vision abilities required include: ability to identify parts, operate systems, and identify potential safety hazards in the parts department
