Are you a Purchase Ledger Assistant looking for your next move? Maybe you’d like some more responsibility or the opportunity to take on an all-encompassing 360-degree purchase ledger role? If so, our client may have the opportunity you’ve been looking for. They’re a well-established business with multiple sites around the north of England and have been investing heavily in their company. As a result, they’re experiencing year-on-year growth, which is creating openings within the business. As the purchase ledger assistant, you’ll be carrying out all the tasks you’d expect with the role, such as setting up new suppliers and processing staff expenses claims. But you’ll also take full responsibility for invoice queries, seeing them through to resolution. So, you’ll need to be confident communicating with staff in various departments at other company sites. You’ll also work closely with suppliers to carry out supplier statement reconciliations and plan payment schedules. As such, you’ll be using your experience of daily bank reconciliations and payment forecasting in line with the company’s cash position. Our client envisages your background will include significant experience in managing the whole purchase ledger process and some knowledge of sales ledgers. In addition, you’ll have dealt with staff expenses claims and be the first point of contact for any queries. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel is a must-have, and full training will be given on our client’s accounting software.
