Supporting your team and the wider business as the Purchasing & Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing stock, as well as purchasing required stock & managing suppliers. Client Details The client I’ve partnered with are a global chemical processing & distribution business in Manchester. Description The Purchasing & Stock Controller will have the following responsibilities: Coordinate with the customer services & sales functions to ensure stock is purchased & received in a timely & efficient manner to satisfy customer requirements.Participate in monthly / annual stocktakes & undertake system update & reconciliations.Providing sourcing support to the local Manchester MS & LF sales teams.Daily responsibility / management of all imports into site, control of relevant documentation / ensuring correct on-costs are applied prior to receipting.Improve the approach to sourcing unmanaged purchases and product costs through using product management support, system knowledge & group tools Food Pack Administration – Scrapping & re-adjusting onto the re-wash pack product code.IBC Packaging Creation – Food Packs & MAN IBC’s.Reviewing of all Stock Transfer orders placed by other sites.Chasing suppliers / stock department for incomplete paperwork for arrived stock (C of A’s / Delivery notes etc).Completion of Custom declaration form. Profile The successful candidate for the Purchasing & Stock Controller role will ideally have the following key skills & qualities: Previous experience in a purchasing/stock roleCompetent in all Components of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)Prior of Experience of using a Transactional/ERP system (SAP, Sage, MS Dynamics, Oracle)Experience of working in a Busy Office Environment.
