You will be a self-organising critical thinker that fosters a “quality culture” and is methodical in your approach to testing. Some of things you’ll get up to daily will include: Software testing through the UI and APICarrying out exploratory testingCreating and executing test cases in Azure DevOpsProactively suggesting ways to improve quality within the team’s processes and the productWork as a member of a cross-functional scrum team to build in quality at every stage of the development lifecycleRaising and triaging bugs in Azure DevOps Now, to enable you to perform your job you’re going to need in the words of Liam Neeson ‘a particular set of skills’. These include: A minimum of 3 years’ experience testing web-based applicationsA passion for software testing and qualityStrong communication skills, both verbally and in writingA working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript is desirableExperience using Postman for API testing is desirableAn understanding of various testing types, such as Integration, Unit, Performance, Regression, Stress, Smoke etc.Experience of working in Agile / Scrum based environmentsA positive, enthusiastic personalityGood team working skills but also the ability to work autonomouslyA can-do attitude and eagerness to learnSelf-starterInnovative and creative approach to work and problem solvingTroubleshooting abilitiesTest automation experience is desirable Now, they don’t expect you to have everything, but the majority of the above would be preferred.
