REGISTRAR / FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE Job DescriptionPrestigious hospital located in Brooklyn seeks a highly motivated Front Desk Associate / Registrar. Qualified candidates would have previous experience working in nursing homes, medical offices, hospitals, healthcare centers etc. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Answer phone and direct callsWelcome and greeting patients and their families to the facility and engage them in conversation to determine their purpose for visitingProvide patients with information of services and insurances in the facility and in-network.Register patients according to set patient registration protocols, and ensure that their information is properly logged and confidentially savedSchedule and manage appointments for patients over the telephone and in person, and provide timely reminders through telephones, texts, and emailsAscertain that all appointment slots are filled, and accommodate waiting list patients in empty slots or those that have been given up.Obtain patients insurance coverage information and contact insurance companies to verify the provided informationMaintain patient waiting areas and office front desk in a professional and neat mannerPrepare reports using MS Word and ExcelMaintain file and documents in storage for medical recordsData EntryThis is a Temporary position.RequirementHigh School diploma, GED or higher degree diploma requiredProficiency in word and excelGood Typing skillsMinimum of 6 months previous experience working in healthcare settingsHigh levels of integrity, discretion and trustExceptional attention to detailExcellent references from both current and previous employersPrioritizing executive tasks and multi-task effectivelyProfessional mindset and the utmost discretionExperience with Billing, Eagle, Epic, IDX, Nexgen or any other Medical Software preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational skillsThe United States work authorization#HC2Pay rate per hour: $20 – $21Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location:One locationWork Location: One locationShow more
