We believe that everyone should have a chance to live a better life and that arts and culture, education, health and wellness, and social services can help lay that foundation.*EdAlliance “Perks”Competitive SalaryPaid Holidays, Floating Holidays and Personal DaysComprehensive Health InsuranceFree Gym Membership to our 14Y Gym403(b) Retirement PlanDiscounts to programs at Educational AllianceGenerous Vacation Package*JOB PURPOSE*The Geriatric Social Worker provides case assistance, emotional support, and group services to older adults participating in in Project ORE, as well as other older adult members of our community.*SCOPE OF INFLUENCE*Direct contact with client group of older adults within Project ORE;High level of service with internal staff, volunteers, clients, and external partners*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES*Provide Evidence-Based Mental Health Interventions in both Individual and Group Modalities – 35%Assist Program Director and colleagues in the day to day operations of group and volunteer services.Provides on-site talk therapy for individuals with hoarding disorder and for generalized counseling.Facilitates mental health related groups for community members.Develop and facilitate support groups in response to client needs.Maintain appropriate case files and documentation.Provide Case Assistance, Information, Referral, and Advocacy to our Older Adults – 35%Assess clients for social work services, and provide case assistance to clients.Assist with obtaining concrete services, and provide crisis intervention when needed.Provide information and referrals to clients and collaborate with community providers.Conduct home visits as needed.Maintain appropriate case files and documentation.*Oversee Social Workers and Social Work Interns on Staff – 20%*Other – 10%Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team.Assist in all major Senior Center events.*Perform other duties as assigned.**JOB REQUIREMENTS**Minimum Qualifications*An LCSW, with 5+ years’ experience working with a high risk/high need older adult population.SIFI certified preferred.Candidates should have strong clinical skills and experience facilitating groups.Have experience/affinity for working with older adults.Knowledge of resources and entitlements, as well as knowledge of age-related cognitive and mental impairments as required.Excellent assessment and crisis intervention skills.Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment autonomously.Knowledge in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Hoarding Disorder is a plus.*Knowledge of Jewish community preferred.**Role Key Competencies*Ability to Build Strong Relationships/TrustExcellent communication skillsEnergetic/EnthusiasticAdaptability*Ability to work independently or in a team*EEO InfoAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
