Job Description
Job Title: Supervisor of Dairy Production Location: Corporate

Position Summary : The Supervisor of Dairy Production is responsible for ensuring production is running smoothly within the Dairy Warehouse. Directs and leads the activities of dairy union associates. Improves both customer and associate satisfaction and ensures all regulation and safety standards are met. Ensures that all Sanitation processes are executed properly in the Dairy Plant and drives the Wawa Dairy to meet industry standards for sanitation performance.
Principal Duties:
Work with the Dairy & Beverage Plant Manager to develop and enforce associate performance standards. Improve associate satisfaction within the guidelines of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Assess staff requirements and evaluate the qualifications of dairy union associates.
Direct and lead the activities of dairy union associates to put forth a quality Wawa standard product in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure all quality, regulatory (Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, HACCP, OSHA, and Northeast Dairy council Regulations), and related safety guidelines are being carried out by the dairy associates.
Assist the Coordinator in management of the raw material inventory, including ingredients, packaging supplies and production materials.
Prepare the annual labor and operating budget for the Dairy and manage to meet goals and expectations.
Respond to customer inquiries (internal and external) in a timely manner.
Work and communicate with the Plant Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepare the daily production schedule meeting the following requirements; customer orders, keeping acceptable product code dates on inventory, having enough space in ASRS, and getting product in time to meet loadout and dispatch times.
Prepare weekly reports on the output and performance of the Dairy.
Develop, train and implement the standards for all operating procedures.
Assist the Coordinator in the tracking and ordering inventories of ingredients for products manufactured at the Dairy.
Provide overall direction and support for team and monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence. Provide feedback, coaching, support, opportunities for development, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in hiring decisions.
Supervise the activities of Sanitation Team to put forth a quality Wawa standard product in a safe and efficient manner, with all Sanitation standards ensured.
Work with Quality Assurance in maintaining expected level of good manufacturing practices and in maintaining a master sanitation and HACCP plan for the facility.
Proactively identify, evaluate and determine process improvements to address non-compliance Sanitation issues. Communicate all results to both internal and external business partners as appropriate.
Work with the Dairy and Sanitation Manager to develop Standard Operating Procedures and ensure execution of protocol on sanitation requirements and regulatory compliance. Conduct root cause analysis and work with Management team to develop and execute corrective action.
Partner with QA, Dairy, WBW, Maintenance, Direct to address any safety or quality concerns or trends with sanitation. Continually monitor performance of sanitation and SOP compliance to ensure Wawa safety and quality standards are properly executed.

Basic Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Five to seven years dairy operations experience
Knowledge of dairy regulatory codes
Demonstrated knowledge of dairy processing systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to use SAP, Kronos and DAI and apply to job responsibilities
Thoroughly understands the processes of milk and beverage packaging systems
